About STERNE

STERNE is a privately owned company, part of the EXSTO Group, specialized in custom-made silicone solutions, serving several industries, such as healthcare, food industry, energy, railway, aeropsace, and much more. We master numerous manufacturing processes, such as injection, extrusion, co-extrusion, over-molding, making and assembling, additive manufacturing, rapid prototyping. All those processes are available both in standard environment, and in highly protected environment, such as clean rooms.

We count 80 people in our factory in France, and have implemented manufacturing facility in Brazil, where 10 people are dedicated to the silicone activities.

We are very focused on innovation and sustainability, working on several projects.

STERNE’s role in PLANETS

In PLANETS, STERNE is participating in Work Package 5: “SSbD alternative for plasticizer application through sustainable silicones development“, specifically focused in industrial trials and results.
